Terms of Use
These terms govern use of BankOfferScout.co.uk and its general UK banking information, research, comparison tools and links.
General information only
BankOfferScout publishes general information and research. Content is not personalised financial advice and does not take account of an individual reader's full financial circumstances, objectives or suitability requirements.
No guarantee of product availability
Banks and other providers can change or withdraw products, rates, bonuses, fees, eligibility and application criteria. We aim to organise research accurately, but a provider's current terms govern the product. Readers should verify those terms before applying or moving money.
Applications and provider decisions
BankOfferScout does not control whether a provider accepts an application, opens an account, pays an incentive, changes a rate or applies a fee. Any banking relationship is between the reader and the relevant provider under that provider's terms.
Use of comparisons
Comparison tables, offer cards and editorial views are research aids, not a promise that one product is the best for every user. Readers remain responsible for deciding which factors matter to their circumstances and for checking current information.
Third-party links
The site can link to providers, official sources and commercial partners. We do not control third-party websites and cannot guarantee their continued availability, security or accuracy. A link does not transfer responsibility for the third party's product or website to BankOfferScout.
Intellectual property
Original editorial text, design, graphics and site structure may be protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Limited quotation or linking may be permitted by law, but wholesale copying, automated republication or misleading reproduction is not authorised merely because a page is publicly accessible.
Acceptable use
Users should not attempt to disrupt the site, bypass security controls, introduce malicious code, scrape in a way that materially harms service availability, or impersonate BankOfferScout or another party. Automated access should respect applicable technical controls and law.
Changes to these terms
The terms may be updated as the site, technology, commercial relationships or legal requirements change. Continued use after an update is subject to the current published version.
How to use comparisons responsibly
Comparisons are intended to narrow research, not to replace the provider’s contract or an assessment of personal circumstances. A page may highlight features that are often important, but a reader remains responsible for checking the current product terms, eligibility and costs before applying. Where a page describes a “best” or strong option, that wording should be read in the context of the criteria and use case explained on the page rather than as a universal promise.
Product information can change between the time a page is reviewed and the time a reader acts. BankOfferScout therefore does not guarantee that an offer remains open, that a quoted feature is available to every applicant or that a provider will accept an application. Provider decisions and contractual terms are controlled by the provider.
Availability, continuity and external content
The site may be updated, reorganised or temporarily unavailable, and individual pages may be revised, redirected or removed when products change or content becomes obsolete. Links to third-party sites are supplied for research and verification; their availability, content and security are outside BankOfferScout’s control.
Readers may link to public BankOfferScout pages in a normal way, but copying substantial portions of the site, republishing research as if it were original work, or using the site in a way that disrupts its operation may be restricted. Short quotations and references should preserve the context of the original page and should not imply an endorsement or commercial relationship that does not exist.
Important note
Banking products, provider terms and relevant rules can change. Product-specific information should be checked against the current provider material and, where appropriate, the relevant official source before action.
